Major Drain cleaning exercise in Lucea, this weekend

A major drain cleaning exercise will be undertaken in the town of Lucea, Hanover, this weekend, by the National Works Agency, as it commences another phase of its disaster mitigation programme in Western Jamaica.
Community Relations Officer for the Western Region, Janel Ricketts says come this Sunday, drains along Millers Drive, Main Street, and Wille Delisser Boulevard will be cleaned.

She says the work will be done as part of the NWA’s 28.4 million dollar Disaster Mitigation Programme in the region. Miss Ricketts says the work on Sunday in Lucea will result in minor delays for motorists. She is advising that motorists who intend to drive through the town, between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, when the work will be undertaken, obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs.
