NWA advising Motorists to Expect Delays along Charlton Road in St. Andrew

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to expect periodic delays along Charlton Road in St. Andrew during the next six weeks. These delays will result from rehabilitation works to be carried out along Charlton Avenue, Charlton Crescent and Hillman Road.

The works which begin this Saturday, July 11, includes repairs to sidewalks, kerb walls, the patching of potholes, the felling of trees, cutting of overhang and overlay of the 2 kilometre length of roadways with Asphaltic Concrete. These works are expected to be completed by mid August.

This project is being undertaken by one of the NWA’s Force Account Teams and its estimated cost is $12 million.

Motorist’s are advised to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs.
