NWA commences work to widen Constant Spring Road

The National Works Agency has commenced a multimillion dollar project to widen the section of Constant Spring Road, between Premier Plaza andSuthermere Road. The project is being undertaken as part of the NWA’s effort to improve traffic flow in the corporate area.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says the works which started yesterday, is expected to last for another ten weeks and will see the creation of an additional lane, as well as drainage improvement.

Mr. Shaw says the works which are expected to be completed at a cost of $29-million is being undertaken between the hours of 6:30 pm and 6:00 am, in order to minimize disruptions in traffic flow and business operations.

He advises that persons may experience some discomfort as the work intensifies, but that the NWA will endeavour to keep this under control.

Mr. Shaw is advising motorists to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the work area and observe the instructions of posted warning signs.
