Main Street in Christiana, Manchester will operate as a one-way flowing north as of Monday, December 17, 2018. The change is being effected by the National Works Agency (NWA) to regulate the increased traffic expected to flow through the town leading up to the busy Christmas period.  The one way system, which will be in operation for 24 hours each day, will remain in place until February 4, 2019.

As a result of the change, Main Street will only accommodate motorists travelling in a northerly direction from Mandeville towards Coleyville or further north to Albert Town, Trelawny. Motorists wishing to enter the town of Christiana, from the direction of Trelawny, will now travel along the Christiana (By-Pass) Road, turn left on to Wildman Street and continue on to Webb Road.

No right turn will be permitted from Webb Road and Wildman Street on to Main Street. Only left turns will be allowed from these roadways on to Main Street. Conversely, no left turns will be allowed from Jones Lane, Azan Lane and Moravia Road on to Main Street.

Nevermine Road, in the vicinity of Christiana High School, will be designated as a link road to the Christiana Bypass Road. It is only to be used to exit the town. Therefore motorists will not be able to use Nevermine Road to get on to Main Street from the Christiana Bypass Road. All vehicles entering the town via these roadways will only be allowed to turn right on to Main Street.
