The National Works Agency (NWA) is about to embark on a $27 million Hot Mix Patching Programme along several roadways in the Western parishes of Westmoreland, Trelawny, St. James and Hanover. This latest effort by the NWA forms part of the Agency’s island wide hot mix patching programme.

Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts says that this patching programme will target the worst affected sections of a number of roadways across the Western region. These include the Withorn to Darliston roadway in Westmoreland; the Falmouth to Springvale main road in Trelawny; the stretch of roadway between Shettlewood and Chester Castle in Hanover and the Fairfield to Point corridor in St. James.

Ms Ricketts says that this patching programme is set to come on stream within another two weeks.

This latest effort by the NWA will augment an earlier $80 Million dollar patching programme, which targeted several critical corridors across the Western Region.
