The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that fallen rocks have partially blocked a section of the Broadgate to Tom’s River main road, in the vicinity of Tom’s River, in St. Mary. As a result of the blockage the roadway is accessible only to small vehicles.

Motorists travelling southeasterly from Broadgate towards Kingston may use the alternative route from Grandy Hole through Gibbs Hill and onto the Tom’s River roadway. The reverse obtains for persons travelling from Tom’s River to Broadgate.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw advises that the NWA is currently working to have the roadway cleared in the earliest possible time.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while travelling in the affected area.
