NWA to Carry out Emergency Patching along the Mandela Highway in St. Catherine

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and other road users that beginning this Tuesday, March 18, 2014 the Agency’s Force Account crews will be carrying out emergency patching along the Mandela Highway between the Twickenham Park Roundabout and the Ferry Police Station.

Approximately 700 square metres of patching using Asphaltic Concrete will be carried out along both the eastern and western sides of the Highway. Potholes will be patched to provide ease of movement for motorists.

This patching project is expected to be completed within five days and cost $1.7 million.

Motorists who use this roadway should expect minor delays while patching is in progress and are advised to obey the posted warning signs as well as the instructions of flag persons.
