The National Works Agency (NWA) is urging road users traversing the Elegant Corridor in St. James to exercise extreme caution, especially as they navigate the intersection in the vicinity of the Half Moon resort. This, as the lights that regulate the flow of traffic at this intersection are now out of commission.

Community Relations Officer for the National Works Agency’s (NWA), Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says that there was significant damage to the hardware of the traffic signals rendering the system inoperable. The NWA team is working to have the issue resolved in the shortest possible time.

In the interim, road users are being reminded that when the traffic signals are out of service, no one has the right of way. Motorists should therefore exercise caution in navigating this intersection, as well as other intersections where traffic signals are out of service.
