The National Works Agency (NWA) has commenced a multimillion-dollar road rehabilitation project in St. Elizabeth. The main road from Santa Cruz to Leeds is being rehabilitated and will be under construction for the next eight months.   Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that work valued at just under 116 – million dollars is being done along the corridor. The road is one of the main access routes to the Southern St. Elizabeth communities of Malvern, Hampton and Potsdam.   Mr. Shaw says that just over five and half kilometers of the road will be rehabilitated. The works will include drainage improvement, installation of sidewalks, a new base and Asphaltic Concrete paving.   Mr. Shaw says that once the works are completed, travel to critical service centres such as the Bethlehem Moravian College, Munro College and Hampton High School will be made easier.   Motorists and pedestrians are being advised to obey the instructions of the flagmen, and warning posted signs when using the corridor.
