The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that on Sunday, January 30, a section of the main road leading from Salt Marsh to Kent, Trelawny will be closed. The road will be closed in the vicinity of its intersection with the North Coast Highway.  This closure will be in effect between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; and will facilitate works to improve the drainage infrastructure along the corridor.    Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says that during the period of closure, culverts will be installed along sections of the roadway. The works form part of efforts to rehabilitate the roadway, through a $17 million contract which involves drainage improvement, base improvements and resurfacing using Asphaltic Concrete.   Consequently, Ms. Ricketts says that motorists wishing to travel to Kent from the direction of the North Coast Highway should travel through Martha Brae, Wakefield and Adelphi.   Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs.
