The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that the main road from Rio Nuevo to Lambkin Hill in St. Mary will be closed for three days, starting today, Wednesday, June 22. Closure is to facilitate emergency work by the National Water Commission (NWC) on a broken water main in the vicinity of the Brighton Farm community.
Resulting from the closure, motorists wishing to travel to Lambkin Hill from the direction of Port Maria or Oracabessa are being advised to travel through the communities of Fontabelle and Hunts Town. Persons travelling from the direction of Ocho Rios are being advised to use the road through Frankfurt and Labrinth.
The NWA is urging motorists to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag-persons.
