The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that a section of the Malvern to Southfield main road between Munro College and Chelsea Hill in St. Elizabeth will be temporary closed on Thursday November 19, 2015, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
This temporary closure is to facilitate work by a contractor associated with the installation of Wind Turbines in the vicinity of the community of Hermitage.
Motorists heading to Southfield are therefore being advised to use the following route as an alternative: Travelling easterly from the direction of Malvern, on getting to the Breamar area, motorists will turn left onto a detour road which leads to the Hermitage to Munro main road. They will then make a right turn at Potsdam Square, continuing pass the back gate of Munro College, then to Epping Forest Square, where they will make another right turn, continuing pass the All Age School. This leads to the Malvern to Southfield main road. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling westerly from the direction of Southfield towards Malvern.
The NWA is also advising motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons during the installation works.
