The National Works Agency (NWA) along with the contractors General Paving Company Limited wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that changes to traffic movement introduced along the Santa Maria to Sligoville corridor in St. Catherine between January 21 and 28, 2014 will continue for another four (4) weeks. These changes will continue until the end of February 2014.
Sections of the roadway will be reduced to single use between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
This is to facilitate increased excavation works and widening of additional sections of the roadway along the corridor.
While these operations are in progress the NWA is asking motorists and pedestrians to obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
The NWA apologises for any inconvenience these changes to traffic movement may cause and request the cooperation and understanding of motorists and pedestrians who use this corridor.
