On Wednesday, February 25, 2015, the National Works Agency (NWA) will continue its programme of Hot Mix patching in the Kingston Metropolitan Region with repairs along Headley Avenue in Kingston.

Headley Avenue is the major link road between Molynes Road and Washington Boulevard. The corridor is one of several link roads being targeted for patching. These roads provide alternative routes for motorists as they traverse the Corporate Area.

Other link roads patched include Hillview Terrace which links Molynes Road and Red Hills Road, Grants Pen Avenue which links Shortwood Road and Constant Spring Road and Clifton Boulevard which links Manning’s Hill Road and Constant Spring Road.

Approximately 792M2 of patching will be undertaken along Headley Avenue at a cost of $2.3 million. An Agency Force Account Team will carry out this patching project which is expected to be completed in seven (7) days.

Since January this year, the NWA has addressed through patching some twenty nine (29) corridors in Kingston and St. Andrew. Approximately 4,020 square metres of patching has been completed. Among the corridors addressed are Cassava Piece Road, Duhaney Drive, East Queen Street and Seaward Drive.

Motorists are advised to obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons during these repairs.
