Repair works are to begin this week on Lady Musgrave Road and Montrose Road in St. Andrew. Contracts valued at just under 57 million dollars have been signed by the National Works Agency (NWA) for the repairs to be undertaken.

Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that the work to be undertaken include drainage improvement, construction of sidewalks, replacement of base, removal of old asphalt and repaving.

He says that approximately 800 metres of road will be targeted and that the project should be completed in 12 weeks.

Mr. Shaw says the contractor will be mobilizing shortly and that the public will be advised ahead of any changes in traffic flow that may become necessary as the works progress.

He says that motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution when traversing both Montrose Road and Lady Musgrave Road during the period of the works.
