Hot Mix Patching Works begins in North West Manchester

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the Agency has embarked on hot mix Patching repairs along the Mile Gully to Oxford road section in North West Manchester. These works are expected to improve traffic flow along the roadway.

Patching began on Monday, March 16, 2015 and is expected to be completed before the Easter holidays.

The repairs are being carried out by one of the NWA’s Force Account teams and are funded through the Capital A Flood Damage Rehabilitative Works programme. The patching of this roadway will impact the communities of Troy, Cowitch Pass, Comfort Hall, Mile Gully, Oxford, Siloah and Balaclava.

Approximately 600M2 of hot mix patching is to be carried out on the roadway for an amount of $1.5 million.

The NWA is advising motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning and directional signs and the instructions of flag persons while work is in progress.
