The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the Highgate to Cumsee main road in St. Mary will be temporarily closed on Sunday, August 23, 2015 between 9:00 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This temporary closure of the roadway is to facilitate the Jamaica Public Service Company’s use of heavy equipment to remove overhanging trees that are in the vicinity of power lines.
The alternative route during the period of closure for motorists travelling from the direction of Highgate towards the North Coast Highway is through Esher Road onto the Highway. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the direction of the North Coast Highway towards Highgate.
The NWA is advising motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
