Modification of traffic signal operations at the Half-Way-Tree Road Oxford Road intersection

Effective Tuesday, May 31, 2016 the National Works Agency (NWA) will be implementing changes to the traffic flow at the intersection of Half-Way-Tree Road and Oxford Road, St. Andrew. These changes are aimed at improving and streamlining pedestrian and vehicular movement at this busy intersection.

As of tomorrow, the following will obtain.

The middle through lane on Half Way Tree Road will be modified to accommodate a right turn lane only. This will allow for two exclusive right turn lanes onto Oxford Road.
The FLOW entrance/exit will be controlled by traffic signals. Persons leaving and entering the FLOW premises must therefore obey the signals.
Persons making a left turn from Half-Way-Tree Road onto Oxford Road must yield to Pedestrians using the pedestrian crossing and motorists making a right turn onto Oxford Rd.

Motorists are advised to obey all the new markings, especially those delineating the lanes.
