The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that movements through the town of Black River, St Elizabeth, will be curtailed this Saturday into Sunday morning. Changes in traffic flow will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday and will go until 2:00 am on Sunday.
The changes will be as follows: Church Street will be closed up to the section where the Tax Administration of Jamaica office is located. School Street will allow for two way traffic, travelling from the Sagicor Bank towards the Jamaica Public Service office. This will be for vehicles travelling along High Street from the direction of Black River Hospital. A section of North Street will be closed from the Anglican Church, at the intersection of High Street and North Street, to Station Alley in front of the Hometime Cable Office.
Market Street will be converted to a two way thoroughfare to accommodate vehicles coming into and out of Black River from the direction of the bridge and also from Luana. Traffic coming from the west on High Street into Black River will be diverted onto Exchange Drive, through New Town, onto Central Road and into Black River Town.

e to facilitate the staging of Black River Day activities by the St Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce, Black River Chapter, and the Parish Council.The NWA is also advising motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution and obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
