Marcus Garvey Drive, between the intersection of East Avenue and Industrial Terrace will on Saturday, March 4, be closed to vehicular traffic. The road will be closed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to facilitate work by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPSCo.).
The light and power company will be continuing its planned replacing of high tension wires in the vicinity of its Marcus Garvey Plant.
Resulting from the closure, motorists wishing to travel towards downtown Kingston from the direction of Tinson Pen will be diverted onto East Avenue and Spanish Town Road. Those motorists travelling from downtown, Kingston towards the Portmore Toll Road will be re-routed along Industrial Terrace and Spanish Town Road.
Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of flag-persons during the time specified.
