The National Works Agency (NWA) wishes to advise the public that Harbour Street in Downtown Kingston will be reduced to single lane usage this weekend, between Maiden Lane and Foster Lane. The restriction which will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 8 and continue until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 is to facilitate the excavation of the roadway to connect sewer mains along Harbour Street
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says the work being undertaken is to connect the sewer line of the newly constructed Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade building to the central sewer main. The construction project is being managed by the National Works Agency.
The NWA is advising motorists using the roadway during the period of restriction to proceed with caution and to heed the instructions of flag persons and posted warning signs.
