The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that the traffic signals at the Greenwood intersection, in St. James, is currently out of commission.

Community Relations Officer at the NWA, Janel Ricketts, says that the Agency’s technical team has determined that the system is inoperable due to a problem with the electrical power supply. The system is expected to be repaired shortly.

Ms. Ricketts says that in the interim, motorists are being reminded that no one has the right of way when the traffic signals are out of service. As a result all motorists should exercise due care when using these intersections.

The NWA is also advising that the traffic lights at the intersection of Main Street and Santa Cruz Bypass is non-functional. A critical component for the operation of the system has been damaged. Efforts are now underway to have the component sourced for the location.
