Water Square

The National Works Agency along with the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) hereby notifies the public that Water Square, Falmouth, Trelawny will be closed to vehicular traffic for two (2) weeks, to facilitate a new pedestrianisation plan for the town. Closure will be from Sunday, February 6, 2011 to Saturday, February 19, 2011. Traffic changes are as outlined below: - Motorists wishing to travel through Falmouth from Rock, turn left onto Tharpe Street, then right onto Market Street, then left onto Duke Street. - Motorists wishing to enter Falmouth whilst travelling along the Falmouth Bypass, may exit at the Market Street overpass and travel north bound along Market Street. - Motorists wishing to exit Falmouth are advised to travel south bound along Market Street and access the Falmouth Bypass OR west along Duke Street onto Rodney Street then south bound along Rodney Street onto the Falmouth Bypass. - Cornwall Street will be one way eastbound from Rodney Street to Market Street. - Duke Street will be one-way westbound from Market Street to Rodney Street. N.B. Articulated lorries and large trucks are prohibited from accessing the town centre. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe the instructions of Posted Signs.
