FIELD TECHNICIAN (Level 3)
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Four CSEC or equivalent including English and
Mathematics, Science and Building subjects preferred.
• Training/Certificate in Electrical Installation/Computer
Operation
• Two (2) years related experience in road
construction/traffic management environment.
• Driver’s License desirable.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent is expected to discharge their responsibilities through the attainment of key outputs which include but not limited to the following:
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, modify and/or install
traffic signals system,
• Collect data related to status and condition of traffic
signals,
• Liaise with contractors carrying out traffic signal works on
behalf of the NWA or other agencies,
• Operate equipment requiring a Driver’s License,
• Operate hand tools and light equipment to dig signal pole
foundations or to remove or install existing poles; mixes,
pours, and finishes concrete in traffic signal pole bases
• Utilize computer or computer-based tools to check,
modify, and adjust traffic equipment in the performance.
