The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that tomorrow, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, motorists may experience delays as they traverse Seaview Drive in Lucea, Hanover. This is as the Agency works to asphalt a section of the roadway, in the vicinity of the Lucea Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says the works will result in sections of the roadway being periodically reduced to single-lane access. The roadway is being asphalted following earlier works to remove and replace a defective culvert, which had undermined a section of this heavily used corridor.
Ms Ricketts says that a multifaceted approach was taken to the repair of the corridor, which involved the construction of rock revetment works, to reduce the effects of wave action; and the construction of catch basins and headwalls.
Motorists are being reminded to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
