Multi-million Dollar Road Rehabilitation Projects underway in Western Hanover

The National Works Agency (NWA) is currently undertaking a Special Routine Maintenance Programme in Western Hanover.

According to the NWA, the programme which is valued at just under nine million dollars, involves the cleaning of drains and the patching and local rehabilitation of roadways.

Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says that the NWA has completed the rehabilitation of the Esher roadway. Additionally, she says that the NWA has completed the cleaning of the Venture Gutter, which is the main drain which runs through the town of Lucea.

In the meantime, the NWA is now rehabilitating the Wharf Road and Wood Church Parish Council roadways in the parish. These projects are expected to be completed by July 6, 2012.
