NWA advises that John's Hall Main Road, St. James to be Closed Temporarily

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the John’s Hall main road, St. James in the vicinity of the Baily Bridge will be temporarily closed between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday, June 29, 2013.

This temporary closure of the roadway is to facilitate crane operations to launch and install the girders of the new bridge.

The alternative routes during the period of closure for motorists travelling from the direction of Montego Bay is through Granville to John’s Hall and beyond. Motorists travelling from the direction of Maroon Town/John’s Hall towards Montego Bay should turn left at Hampton, onto the Granville main road then onto Montego Bay.

The NWA is also advising that flag persons will be placed at the Granville and Hampton detours to guide motorists.

Road users should expect minor delays along this roadway after 12 noon on Saturday and are advised to obey posted warning and directional signs as well as the instructions of flag persons.
