The NWA and the TEF Complete Multi-million Dollar Rehabilitation of the Roaring River roadway in Westmoreland

The Roaring River is located in the community of Shrewsbury Westmoreland, and is a popular eco-tourist destination, renowned for its rivers, caves and mineral pools.

Community Relations Officer at the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says that the project, involved, bushing, drain cleaning, the patching and local rehabilitation of sections of the roadway, and the overlay of a significant section of the corridor using Double Surface Dress.

This project is valued at approximately $7.5 million and was funded by the (TEF). The project was executed by one of the NWA’s Force Account teams.
