NWA to Begin Rehabilitation of Kingsway Road in St. Andrew

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and residents who reside along the Kingsway roadway in St. Andrew and its environs that, effective this Wednesday, April 09, 2014 the Agency will begin rehabilitation works along the 700 metres long strip of road.

These works which are expected to last for three months and include complete base course works, construction of new kerbs, re-construction of sidewalks, priming of the roadway and application of 50 mm thick Asphaltic Concrete overlay.

During the projects execution there will be minor traffic delays and limited restrictions to vehicular movement. Only residents will be allowed entrance to and exit from the project area during construction.

The National Works Agency is asking motorists, residents and pedestrians to obey all posted warning and directional signs as well as the instructions of flag persons and apologises for any inconvenience these necessary road improvement works may cause.

This road rehabilitation project is for an amount of $15.5 million. The contractor is Surrey Paving and Aggregates Limited.
