The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that it has commenced Phase Four of its islandwide Spray Patching programme along major corridors in St. Elizabeth.

Sixteen (16) roadways are slated to be patched in two stages. During the first stage which is now underway corridors from Tombstone to Gutters, Pedro Cross to Lititz, Brompton to Cotterwood and Middle Quarters to Jacks Gate will be patched. Other corridors including Malvern to Southfield, Wilton to Union, YS to Maggotty, Vauxhall to Arcadia, Junction to Bull Savannah and Big Yard will be completed during the second stage of the programme.

Patching along these roadways is being undertaken by one of the National Works Agency’s Force Account Teams and is expected to cost $10 million. The six week programme is being funded through the Road Maintenance Fund.

The Force Account Team will carry out 10,000 square metres of patching during the six (6) week period.

The NWA is asking motorists who travel along these corridors to obey posted warning signs and the instruction of flag persons while patching is in progress.
