The National Works Agency (NWA) has reduced a section of the Scott’s Cove to Luana main road in St Elizabeth to single lane use for motorists. The section of road which is located in the Font Hill community has been reduced to facilitate the replacing of a drainage pipe that has failed.

Single lane usage will be in effect for the next four weeks, during which time the NWA will among other things be constructing a spill way, cutting large trees and repaving the roadway, as part of works.

Community Relations Officer for the South Howard Hendriks says the project is valued at $1.5 million and will result in a significant boost to the drainage situation in the area.

He is advising motorists and pedestrians to obey posted warning signs and instructions of flag persons in the vicinity of the work area.
