Patching now underway along the Middle Quarters to Jacks Gate Main Road in St. Elizabeth

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that Patching is in progress along the Middle Quarters to Jack’s Gate main road in St. Elizabeth.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw says that this patching project began on June 13, 2011 and is expected to be completed by this Friday, July 08, 2011. Mr. Shaw says that approximately 3, 100 square metres of patching is to be undertaken along the corridor. He says that the remedial work along the roadway includes squaring of the potholes, filling with graded material and patching with Asphaltic Concrete.

This project is fifty percent (50%) complete and is being undertaken by one of the Agency’s Force Account patching crews. The project is expected to cost just under seven million dollars.

The NWA is advising motorists travelling along this roadway to proceed with caution, obey posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
