The National Works Agency (NWA) has embarked on a new round of its multi-million dollar Spray Patching programme along several roadways in the Kingston Metropolitan region.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that this phase of the Agency’s Spray Patching programme commenced on October 05, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed in three (3) weeks. The NWA spokesman says that among the twenty two (22) roadways to be patched are, Chisholm Avenue, Molynes Road, Hagley Park Road, Spanish Town Road, Michael Manley Boulevard, Lower Elleston Road, Windward Road and Mountain View Avenue.

Mr. Shaw says that this programme complements a 1,200M2 Hot Mix Patching project undertaken earlier this year along major corridors which included Maxfield Avenue, Lyndhurst Road, Mandela Highway and Oxford Road.

This Spray Patching programme is being undertaken by one of the Agency’s Force Account Teams and is expected to cost just over $5 million. The Team is to undertake approximately 5,000M2 of patching.

The NWA is advising motorists to obey posted warning signs and the instruction of flag persons while patching is in progress.
