The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that effective Saturday November 23, 2013, commencing at 8:00 am, a section of the Cotton Tree roadway, in the vicinity of the Petcom service station in Trelawny, will be closed to vehicular traffic. This roadway, which falls along the Albert Town to Stettin corridor, will remain closed until Sunday November 24, 2013 at 8:00 pm.

Community Relations Officer at the NWA’s West Region, Janel Ricketts, says that the roadway is being closed to facilitate the removal of a large boulder which is now precariously perched on a section of the embankment.

Ms. Ricketts says that during the period of closure road users, who wish to access areas beyond Cotton Tree, are being advised to use the alternative route through Queensland.

Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of flag persons.
