Several Road Intersections in Montego Bay, St. James to be temporarily reduced to Single Lane Use

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the following intersections in Montego Bay, St. James, will be temporarily reduced to single lane use. The intersections are:

  • Alice Eldemire Drive and Bogue Road
  • Barnett Street and Fairfield Road
  • Alice Eldemire Drive and Howard Cooke Boulevard
  • Catherine Hall Drive and Howard Cooke Boulevard
  • Coconut Drive and Alice Eldemire Drive

This temporary change of use will be in effect for two days. It begins at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 and continues until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014. All intersections will revert to regular use at 6:00 a.m. on Monday May 12, 2014.

The temporary changes that will be in effect at the intersections are to facilitate the excavation and laying of cable ducts by the NWA and Sierra Support Services Group.

The NWA is advising motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution, obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning and directional signs while work is in progress at these locations.
