Southboro Drive, St. Catherine will be Temporarily reduced to Single Lane Usage

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that Southboro Drive in Portmore,  St. Catherine, adjacent to the Newland main road intersection will be temporarily reduced to single lane usage.

The reduction of the roadway to single lane use will begin on Saturday, December 07, 2013 and last for five (5) weeks until mid-January 2014.

This temporary closure of one lane along Southboro Drive is to facilitate repair works to a damaged grating in the vicinity of the roadway’s intersection with Newland main road.

The repair works include, excavation, demolition of the existing share wall, removal of damaged grating, replacement of the share wall and repaired grating and reinstatement of the roadway. To avoid delays, motorists are encouraged to choose suitable alternative routes.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution, obey the instructions of flag persons and posted warning and directional signs while work is in progress along this roadway.
