The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists and pedestrians that the May Bridge, located along Main Street in Clarendon, will be temporarily closed between 6:00 p.m., today, Tuesday, March 15 and 6:00 a.m., tomorrow, Wednesday, March 16, 2011.
Temporary closure is to facilitate relaying of a collapsed culvert located in the vicinity of the bridge.
Motorists travelling from the direction of Mineral’s Heights or Palmer’s Cross towards the town centre should use the alternative route, Chenton Road, Bustamante Highway, Glenmuir Road, Anderson Drive then onto the town centre. The reverse obtains for motorists travelling from the town centre in the direction of Mineral’s Heights or Palmer’s Cross.
The NWA is also advising motorists and pedestrians to obey all posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons while work is in progress.
