The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that a section of North Street in Central Kingston, located between its intersection with Hanover Street and its intersection with Central Avenue, will be closed temporarily, from 10 a.m. on Friday July 15, 2011 to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011.
This temporary closure is to facilitate completion of reinstatement works by the National Works Agency on behalf of the National Water Commission following excavation for pipe laying along the roadway.
The alternative routes during the period of closure travelling from the direction of National Heroes Circle towards North Street is East Street, Lockett Avenue, Central Avenue then onto North Street or North Avenue, Lockett Avenue onto North Street.
The NWA is asking motorists to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons while work is in progress.
