Old Hope Road / Mona Road

The National Works Agency, along with Dr. Lloyd Cole, hereby notifies the public that the northern Carriageway, on Old Hope Road between BNS Liguanea and the Mona Road turn around, will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 8:00 p.m. on Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26, 2015 to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2015.

Alternative Routes:
Vehicles travelling east on Hope Road should turn right onto Old Hope Road, left onto Munroe Road then proceed onto Wellington Drive, then left onto Mona Road and then right at the Mona Road/Old Hope Road turnaround.

Half Way Tree Square

The National Works Agency along with The GR8 Entertainment, hereby notifies the public that Half Way Tree Square will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 .

Alternative Route:
Motorist traveling along Constant Spring Road are advised to turn left onto Suthermere Road, proceed onto Parish Place, then right onto Hope Road where they can access either Half Way Tree Road or Hagley Park Road.

This is in order to facilitate a New Year’s Eve Block Party.

Down Town Kingston

The National Works Agency along with Running Events Limited hereby notifies the public that on Sunday, October 18, 2015 the following roadways will be intermittently reduced to single lane traffic between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Ocean Boulevard, between West and Princess Streets (northern lanes only) & Port Royal Street, between West and Princess Streets (southern lanes only)

The National Works Agency, along with Digicel Jamaica Limited in collaboration with Running Events Limited, hereby notifies the public that there will be partial closures on the following roadways from Friday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 7:00 a.m:
-  Ocean Boulevard, between West and Princess Streets (northern lanes only)
-  Port Royal Street, between West and Princess Streets (southern lanes only)

This is to facilitate the Digicel Imagine 5K Run for Special Needs.

Half Way Tree Square

The National Works Agency along with Jamaica  Churches Action Uniting Society for Emancipation (CAUSE) hereby notifes the public that Half Way Tree Square will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight.

Alternative Route:
Motorist traveling along Constant Spring Road are advised to turn left onto Suthermere Road proceed onto Parish Place and then turn right onto Hope Road where they can access either Half Way Tree Road or Hagley Park Road.

This is in order to facilitate a Mass Rally.

Hope Road at the intersection with Phoenix Avenue

The National Works Agency, along with Island Concrete Limited hereby notifies the public that on:
Friday, September 4, 2015 between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
AND
from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015 Hope Road at the intersection with Phoenix Avenue in the vicinity of Cert Bookstore the westbound lanes will be reduced to single lane.

Arthur Wint Drive between Central Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue

The National Works Agency, along with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission, hereby notifies the public that on Thursday, August 6, 2015 a section of Arthur Wint Drive  between Central Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Alternative Route: Motorists wishing to access Mountain View from Arthur Wint Drive should turn right onto Tom Redcom Drive, then right onto Old Hope Road, right onto Stanton Terrace then to Mountain View Avenue

Norman Manley Boulevard

The National Works Agency along with Production Resource Systems hereby notifies the public that on Monday, August 3, 2015 and Monday, August 10, 2015 the Norman Manley Boulevard at Wavz Beach in Negril, Westmoreland will be closed intermittently to vehicular traffic between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Motorists traveling towards Orange Bay, Hanover or the Negril Roundabout, should proceed with caution.
